Our Schools

The Racine Unified School District has a student population of approximately 21,000 students with a wealth of diversity. Our students come from urban, rural, and suburban areas within a 100-square mile area. The Racine Unified School District is situated within a small urban community located on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan in southeastern Wisconsin.
The district has 21 elementary schools including 3 magnet schools, 7 middle schools including one magnet middle school, and two charter middle schools. We also have three large high schools, one magnet high school, and one charter high school. The district has approximately 1,400 teachers and 110 administrators. The average teacher has 14 years of experience and over two-thirds of our teachers have a masters degree or above.
The reality of educating all students to succeed is alive and well in our Racine public schools. Our district is on an educational journey with an intentional and intensive focus on student achievement, student engagement, customer services, and operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Racine Unified features rigorous academics, a success orientation for all students, and strong programming in the fine arts, foreign language, career-to-work, physical education, technology, and other electives. As a district, we are proud of the success that we create for all of the students we serve, and proud of our mission to... Educate every student to succeed.
